Hello, we are running the Beachy Head Marathon 2025 in memory of our beautiful friend Francesca.

Francesca was the kindest and most inspiring soul. Her wonderful 13-year-old son, Roberto, is best buddies with our own son Jack, having known each other since meeting as next-door neighbours aged two.

Francesca passed away in August this year after a courageous journey with cancer. The Martlets cared for her expertly in her final days, and with the blessing of her family we are running in her memory. If you are able to help at all, no donation is too small, and will be hugely appreciated.

About Martlets

Martlets is a local charity, providing essential services to people affected by life-limiting illness in Brighton and Hove, and surrounding areas. Our expert teams provide the very best hospice care and support, helping patients and their loved ones live life to the full during the precious time they have together.

Most people receive care from us in their own homes. Others with more complex needs spend their final days or weeks on our inpatient wards or join us for periods of symptom management or respite care. Outpatients also visit our hospice for pain relief, physiotherapy, counselling, complementary therapies and community social activities.
