The Central Training Academy class of 2026 would like to complete a collective group of walks which make up the distance between Central Training Group in Clacton to Great Ormond Street Hospital and back. This is a total of 162 miles.

As a group we are taking on this walk to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital in memory of our dear classmate and friend, Kai.

Kai spent much of his life in and out of the hospital due to a heart condition, and throughout it all he remained incredibly positive, kind, and compassionate. He was always there to listen, support others, and bring happiness to those around him.

Kai’s optimism and caring nature made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him, and he will always be remembered with love.

By completing this challenge, we hope to honour his memory and give back to the hospital that cared for him. We will carry Kai with us every step of the way.
