Hi there! I am Cerys and I am raising money for Amnesty International UK by taking part in the Morocco High Atlas Challenge:)

I have been following Amnesty's work for as long as I can remember, and I continue to admire the work of them as an organisation. When the opportunity arose to go to Morocco to raise funds for them, I was driven to seize the opportunity and take on the challenge.

I have met so many incredible people from fundraising, and although it hasn't been easy, I have learnt so much about event-planning, effective communication- and I have seen such kindness from people helping out with fundraisers and those who have donated. In a world which seems cruel and unwelcoming a lot of the time, seeing the humanity in strangers through this challenge is affirming to the fact that we need to keep going and fighting against all the atrocities in the world. And it's organisations like Amnesty which help us fight for a fairer, more equitable world.

I'll be trekking through the High Atlas Mountains over the course of five-days, facing extreme temperatures and challenging terrain, eventually climbing Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa.

Your donations will help Amnesty International UK expose human rights abuses in the UK and all over the world and to campaign for freedom and justice. Amnesty International UK work on a wide range of issues including women's rights, refugee rights, the human rights impact of climate change and in support of individuals whose rights have been violated.
