Chapeltown RBL FC Legends Football Match 2024
For the last couple of years we have come together as a football club, with supporters and players past and present lining up to support our fundraisers for Cancer Research UK. The events in 2022 and 2023 have each raised over £2000 towards this great charity and went some way to saying thank you to the charity and NHS staff from us, our supporters and most of all, our very own Legion legend Ben Palmer.

We would just like to thank everyone for their support over the last couple of years, the response to the fundraisers has been truly astonishing and surpassed our expectations.

This year we are supporting Alzheimer’s Society, in support of Jackie Beatson-Hindmarch. Jackie and her family are an integral part of the Chapeltown British Legion Club and have played an important part in the history of the football club too. Jackie’s two sons Ben and Brad along with her nephew Joe have played for the football club ever since it’s inception. Jackie was diagnosed with Dementia last year and immediately set on with fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society, creating a team of fundraisers and taking part in the Clumber Park Memory Walk 2023. Jackie’s Team and their supporters raised over £11,000 for Alzheimer’s Society
Everyone here at Chapeltown RBL FC would like to do our bit to support Jackie’s Team to raise even more for this great charity.

The Legends team are a stubborn bunch and are convinced that a win is due. They have not been put off by the prospect of having to face the multiple league winners that are the current Chapeltown RBL team.
The Legends side have secured a few new recruits this year, including a couple that have previously been a part of the recent Chapeltown RBL title winning teams. They are ready to go again in support of Alzheimer’s Society.
With your support, we aim to raise as much money as possible, to be donated to Alzheimer’s Society, to help fund the vital research they do to find treatments for future sufferers of these diseases.
