Story
🚴♂️ Cycling for Sea Cadets – Support Our Ride Across the Country!
This March, I’ll be joining with Royal Marines Officer Paul Gillespie-Antal, Nick Crane from Burton on Trent, along with Leading Cadets Hadley and Felix from the Accrington and Burton units, to take on a challenging multi day charity cycle — all in support of Marine Society & Sea Cadets and the incredible units that keep our young people inspired and thriving.
📅 The Challenge
From Saturday 28th March to Thursday 2 April, we will cycle from Accrington to Marine Society & Sea Cadets Headquarters. Our planned route (final confirmation pending) will take us through:
• Accrington
• Tameside
• Sheffield
• Northampton
• Nottingham
• Luton
💙 Why We’re Riding
This challenge marks my return to leading the Eastern Area of Sea Cadets. The last time I attempted something this ambitious was in 2018, when I walked from Scarborough to Barrow in Furness after taking over the North West Area. That journey showed me the dedication, spirit and generosity that keeps our organisation alive — and I hope this ride will do the same.
Every donation will go directly toward supporting the MSSC and Sea Cadet units along the way (plus Burton on Trent for their support) and so ensuring they can continue delivering life changing opportunities for young people.
🤝 How You Can Help
Your support — whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or sending encouragement to the riders — will mean the world to us and the units we represent.
And if you’d like to join us for a day’s riding, you’re more than welcome! Please contact me by Monday 23rd March so we can plan safely and effectively.
🙏 Thank You
