Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am not typically one for sponsorship, but an incredible charity and a remarkable challenge have inspired me to reach out to you.
I am participating in the Arctic Challenge, a wilderness endurance event that will take place on January 16, 2026. This thrilling experience includes a dog sled race, hiking, ice fishing, orienteering, and woodland fire lighting. My goal is to raise £2,000 for the National Literacy Trust, an organisation dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and low literacy. Every child in the UK deserves an equal chance to succeed, and your support can help make that possible.
I kindly ask you to consider supporting me with whatever you can. Your generosity will not only fuel my journey through this challenging event but also contribute significantly to a cause that impacts countless lives. If you are a taxpayer, please remember to opt for Gift Aid; it makes your donation go even further. I am truly grateful for every contribution. 🙏🏻
The money we raise through this event will go entirely to National Literacy Trust to help transform the lives of children in the most disadvantaged areas of the UK.
On average, children from the poorest backgrounds start school 19 months behind their more privileged peers.Children without the expected level of literacy skills are held back at every stage of their lives. They are:
❗five times more likely to fail to meet the expected standards in English at age 11
❗four times more likely to be unemployed aged 34
❗three times more likely to have mental health problems as adults.
Thank you for supporting me!! ❤️
