Guide Dogs is a charity that’s incredibly close to my heart, having supported my family in ways that are hard to put into words. Pictured here is my mum’s beautiful guide dog, Lilac, who plays a huge role in her independence and is unbelievably clever. Any donation, big or small, would mean so much — helping another visually impaired person gain a wonderful companion like Lilac.
As many of my close friends and family know, I was due to run the GNR 2025, but unfortunately broke my arm just five weeks before race day. I’ve deferred my place and will now be taking on the GNR in 2026 instead. It’s been an emotional setback, but now it’s time to focus on training and coming back stronger for next year’s run.
Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Guide Dogs work for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life.
