This September, I’ll be taking on my first Great North Run in support of Guide Dogs.

This cause is close to home for me. My Grandad lost his sight in his 30's, and I’ve seen first-hand how vital services like guide dogs can be in restoring independence, confidence, and quality of life.

Every day, around 250 more people begin living with sight loss, adding to the 2 million already affected in the UK. With this number expected to double by 2050, the need for support has never been greater.

Guide Dogs provides life-changing services, from guide and buddy dogs to mobility training, education support, and sighted guides. But they can only continue this essential work with the help of donations.
