Story
I have supported Issues of Life Ministries for decades, and I’ve seen firsthand the integrity of their work and the impact they have on children and families. Because of that long-standing connection, what happened this March hit hard. The water supply at the IOL Mission Center in Kisii, Kenya, was contaminated. Several people became sick, and a young student named Joyphone lost her life. I know you believe that clean, safe water shouldn’t be a privilege — it’s a basic necessity.
In response, I’m stepping in to help directly. I’m raising support for The Joyphone Clean Water Project, which will drill a new well on the IOL Mission Center grounds. The full project cost is $52,000. This will fund a deep well, solar-powered pumps, and storage tanks — giving the community a dependable, long-term source of safe water. My personal goal is to raise $1,500 toward that amount.
I’m reaching out to you — people who understand the kind of work I’m committed to — to consider joining me. Every contribution, large or small, moves us closer to a solution that will save lives and restore stability to this community.
You’ll receive updates as the project moves forward, and we hope to celebrate the installation of the well and tanks this September.
Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for standing with me — and with the children and families of Kisii — during this critical moment.
Thanks and Enjoy Today,
Cheryl
