Story

Skydive 🪂 27th April 2024 Nottingham

As some of you may know I lost one of my best friends Dan 9 months ago very suddenly. Anyone who was lucky enough to know Dan knew he was a genuinely caring and a loving man who would do anything for anyone. I still struggle and think I always will trying to get my head round him not being here anymore. We texted or spoke to each other every day, things are just not the same anymore and losing him the way we did has changed me. None of us really know what is round the corner, so we should live every day as though it is our last 🧡

Even though Dan did not have MS it was a charity close to him and his family’s heart. Dan’s dad Mr Colin Hitchcock suffered with MS and Dan and his younger sister Abbie cared for Mr Hitchcock until he sadly passed away when they were both young adults. This is only one of the reasons I am jumping for MS-UK.

I also work with a lovely lady called Paula who also has MS. Paula was originally doing the skydive alone for MS-UK and asked me and some other colleagues if we would like to join her and make a team. So that is what we have done ❤️

We are all phlebotomists working in the NHS and come across people often who also have MS and we would just like to raise awareness and as much money as possible for MS-UK 🪂

MS-UK was established in 1993, and is a national charity dedicated to empowering people with multiple sclerosis to make the most of today, and live life to the full.

MS-UK put people affected by MS at the heart of the work that they do. They provide high quality, professional services to support people living with multiple sclerosis, and they listen to people affected by MS.
