Story
In 2025, Cheryl sadly lost her mum. In her final days, she shared something she had never spoken about before: she had been living in a coercive control relationship for over 30 years. This revelation was heartbreaking, but her courage to speak out has inspired Cheryl and her friends to take action.
Together, Cheryl, Courtney, Tracey, and Vic want to help remove the stigma around talking about domestic abuse - there should be no shame for anyone who has been affected, apart from the perpetrator.
To turn this into something positive, the team are taking on a 100K walk in memory of Cheryl’s mum. They’re raising funds for FearFree, a charity that provides life-changing support for people affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. FearFree works tirelessly to help individuals rebuild their lives free from fear and harm.
Every donation, big or small, will make a difference. Your support will help others find safety, hope, and the strength to speak out - just like Cheryl’s mum did.
Thank you for helping us turn heartbreak into hope.
