Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are a group of four people leaving for Ukraine with a refrigerated lorry and a jeep on 5th September under the auspices of the Carmen Charity which is part of the Carmen Livery Company for Transport. Established in 1517 they are a livery company of the City of London and run a Ukraine relief charity.
As drivers for D2SL (Drive to Save Lives) we work with them to enable the funding of medical aid and essential vehicles for people supporting humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. All funds raised will go directly to the registered charity and enable people to select giftaid. The charity will then work with us to ensure we can get the aid to Ukraine. Who are we, Darren Evers, Kieran Brennan, Michael Butt and Stuart Kinder. We are also raising funds via Paella days and other activities.
All the money raised will go towards getting the vehicles which are already purchased over to Ukraine and getting the team home via poland. The refrigerated truck is desparately needed and will be full of medical aid. It takes around 140 gallons of Diesel to get a truck over to Kyiv and about 50 for a jeep. Current plans are to get to gorlitz on day one, Lviv on day two, Kyiv on day three, Lviv on day four, and then get a lift to the border and fly home via Poland.
Whilst we have enough for the trip and fuel etc we have kept the total at 3000 in order to fund another vehicle we have been asked to take over in December with Childrens aid for Christmas.
