Story
The Ashgate Hospice is an integral part of the fabric of Chesterfield. There cannot be many people whose lives have not been touched by the work or the care given by the fabulous team at the hospice for over 30 years. Like the whole town we were shocked and disappointed by the news that the Hospice has announced that is to cut services and lose staff because of funding issues.
Families all over North Derbyshire and beyond have relied on Ashgate Hospice to provide care to friends and relatives for families right across Chesterfield and North Derbyshire. The work done by the staff at this institution is remarkable place and so are the people who devote their lives to caring for our families and friends.
The Chesterfield Sunday Football League wants to play its part to help the hospice during its hour of need as they have helped our friends and families down the years.
A number of the League’s team of match officials have pledged to donate their match fees for fixtures on Sunday 14th December and a donation of £500 from the League will start the fundraiser going.
Whether you’re able to donate or share the link, we’re really grateful and hopefully together we can help support Ashgate Hospice.
