Chris Booton with his daughter Catherine Haworth are taking part in the Saundersfoot New Years Swim to raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind UK.

Chris will be dressed as a dog mascot.

Catherine's son is already delighted to have sponsored a puppy through training and Chris had the idea of completing the New Years Day charity swim - in freezing conditions - to raise money for this very worthy cause.

Chris' own labrador, Barnaby, and Catherine's labradors Falon and Rogan have declined to take part in the event as they would rather be munching on treats by the warm fire.
