Story

I literally got my late onset ms diagnosis less than a week ago. That's followed a year of different tests, numerous falls, and difficulties with both my arms and legs.

I feel really lucky to have the support of family, friends, colleagues and professionals to help me through this. Especially an amazing neighbour Chrissy who pointed me in the right direction!

I'm swimming to raise money to fund the research into MS, to help others and to show hopefully that everything is still possible.

I'd be really grateful for your support. I've never swum this far before and swimming outside has been something I've tended to avoid up until now.

Thank you

WEDNESDAY

I decided to swim my two mile swim at Denham Waterski Club today where I started training a few months ago.

A huge thank you to everyone at Denham who have made me feel so welcome and have helped me out of the lake at the end of each swim. It is a very friendly, well run club and they have made the transition from pool to open water as easy as possible. I think I am now hooked!

A big hug and thank you to Heather, the swim coach at Denham who has tirelessly supported me, cheerfully motivated me, improved my swimming enormously and been such good company to be with.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so generously to support such a good cause.
