Story
On 26th February, our world was turned upside down when our precious daughter was diagnosed with leukaemia. In an instant, life changed from nursery runs, family time, and making happy memories to hospital wards, treatments, blood tests, and the fear of the unknown. Watching your child face something so frightening is a pain that no parent can ever prepare for. There have been moments of heartbreak, worry, and exhaustion, but also moments that have shown us just how strong and brave our little girl truly is.
Throughout this journey, we have learned how important the support of others can be. That is why I am fundraising for Gold Geese, an incredible local charity that supports children with cancer and their families. When a child is diagnosed, the whole family is affected, and the emotional and financial pressures can be overwhelming. Gold Geese helps bring comfort, support, and hope to families during their darkest days, reminding them that they are not facing this battle alone.
My two best mates, Josh and Dan, have been by my side throughout this journey, offering support, encouragement, and friendship when it has been needed most.
I have roped them into running the Chelmsford Half Marathon with me to help raise money for this fantastic charity. Taking on this challenge together is our way of giving something back and showing our support for the families who are facing battles like ours.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help Gold Geese continue the amazing work they do for families like ours. If you are able to donate or share this fundraiser, you will be helping to make a real difference in the lives of children fighting cancer and the families standing beside them. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. It means more to us than words can ever express.
