In 2025 to 2026, the Mayor of Waltham Forest, Cllr Tony Bell, will fundraise in support of three vital, local charities; Highams Park Food Hub, Haven House and Walthamstow Wetlands. The mayor will continue his efforts to raise awareness of the importance of fellowship and nature. Thank you.

Story

Every year the Council works with donors to collect gifts for our children in need and care-experienced young people, so they know they’re remembered at Christmas. Unfortunately this year's donor is now no longer able to collect gifts, so we urgently need your help.

Can you help us make sure every child gets a gift this Christmas? We’re looking for 700 new gifts for children and young people of all ages from 0 to 25. For those who’d like to donate but can’t give a gift, a collection is also being run which will be used to buy £10 gift cards for each child.

If you have any unused children’s gifts which you’re happy to donate, there are drop-off locations across the borough, at Libraries and Family Hubs.

To make sure they get to children in time, please donate what you can by Friday 20th December. If you have any questions, or if you are a local business interested in supporting, please email: mayor@walthamforest.gov.uk.

We thank the amazing Waltham Forest community for anything they can give to help ensure every child is remembered this Christmas.
