Story
Last January, our Sales Director, Dan Jewell, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a grade four brain tumour. Glioblastoma is the most aggressive and common malignant brain tumour in adults, with over 3,000 new diagnoses in the UK each year. Despite its prevalence, only about 1% of cancer research funding has focused on brain tumours in recent years.
To support Dan and the institutions that have been pivotal to his journey, TPers are setting out to raise £153,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, The Brain Tumour Charity, and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity through an initiative we call Challenge51.
In June I am going to attempt the Three Peaks Challenge - for which I will have to do some serious training - in order to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity which funds much needed research and supports so many people like Dan.
