Story
On 16 July 2024 our beloved Ian lost his brave fight against a glioblastoma brain tumour. There is not a day that goes by where Martha, Alice & I don’t miss him and wish he was still here. He has left a huge hole in our hearts.
Ian wanted us to donate to charity to help find a cure for this devastating cancer. So, to honour his wishes and to channel a small part of Ian’s immense strength and positivity he showed in battling this horrible illness, I will be running this year’s Great North Run to fundraise for Brain Tumour Research and in Ian’s memory. A group of family and friends will be doing the same, as well as Martha and her friend Jack, who will be running the Junior Great North Run. #GoTeamDavis
Donations will mean so much to us.
Thank you.

One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
