G Trek for Good has managed to convince me to dust off my walking boots! As someone not naturally drawn to adventurous or arduous travel, (a sun lounger and good book is more my style), the lure of one of the most stunning hiking destinations on the planet was too good to miss: Peru! Even better it is an opportunity to raise funds for two incredible travel industry charities - Planeterra and ABTA LifeLine, one step at a time.

This June, I'll be joining a group of fellow travel professionals on the ultimate adventure: a grueling, (eeeek!) four-day trek to Choquequirao in Peru.

Armed with hiking poles, base layers, and an endless supply of coca tea, we’ll be venturing deep into the untamed wilderness of Peru, pushing ourselves to the limit on one of the most challenging hikes in the country.

So together with a group of far fitter and experienced hikers I’ll be walking, climbing, and battling an endless army of mosquitos, all to raise funds for not one, but two charities: Planeterra and ABTA LifeLine.

What could possibly go wrong!??!
