Spine North MRT Challenge · 13 January 2025

For over 70 years UWFRA has been rescuing people and animals from the caves, mineshafts, fells and crags of Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Littondale and Mid-Airedale. Our rescue services remain free to all who need us, day or night and are financed entirely by fundraising events and donations.

Story

In January, Abby, Clare and Tom are taking on the Winter Spine MRT Challenge North to complete the Pennine Way following our completion of the Winter Spine MRT Challenge South (2023 for Abby and Clare, and 2024 for Tom).

This is a 160 non-stop challenge between Hawes and Kirk Yetholm along the Pennine Way with a time limit of 108 hours.

We are all team members of UWFRA and this cause is close to our heart whilst each selecting another charity of our choice (on the linked Team page).

This is a significantly bigger challenge than any of us have taken on before so we hope you will follow us on our training in the build up to this event in January.

Thank you for your support and to choose the charity you need to select one of the hyperlinks below.
