Walk The Beat for PTSD
Campaign by Police Care UK (RCN 1151322)
The police find themselves in harm’s way protecting the public every single day. The physical and psychological scars of policing can take their toll on those who keep us safe, and if they are left untreated, they can carry those scars for life.

Story

With 1 in 5 police potentially living with PTSD, more help is needed to mitigate the impact of repeated exposure to trauma in policing. While raising much-needed funds to help treat and support those affected with specialist trauma and psychotherapy treatments.

Throughout June and on PTSD Awareness Day - June 27, we’re asking you to step into their shoes and Walk The Beat to beat PTSD.

Take a walk in your local community, go on a group stroll, challenge your step count, or sign up to a challenge trek, to boost your mental health while raising money to ensure that no-one suffering in this cycle is left without help.

Every step of your support helps police, and their families, who are living with trauma through steps of recovery.
