The police find themselves in harm’s way protecting the public every single day. The physical and psychological scars of policing can take their toll on those who keep us safe, and if they are left untreated, they can carry those scars for life.
We are a national charity dedicated to those who suffer harm as a result of their policing role.
Through our confidential programme of practical, emotional, and financial support, we are there for serving and former personnel carrying the physical and psychological impact of public service.
Story
With 1 in 5 police potentially living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, more help is needed to mitigate the impact of repeated exposure to trauma in policing.
When an officer has PTSD, it can change family life, significantly affecting the loved ones of those living with PTSD.
In the worst moments, PTSD can cause those suffering not to recognise the people they love.
Walk the Beat for PTSD this June.
Throughout #PTSDAwarenessMonth in June, we are raising awareness of the effects of PTSD in UK policing, highlighting the impact it has on families and raising much-needed funds for specialist trauma and psychotherapy treatments to restore the lives of officers and their families who fall victim to this cycle.

🪙 Every penny you raise will go towards treatment for more police officers like Andy and Gary, so no one suffering is left without adequate support to restore their lives.
How your donation can make a difference:
£25 ➡️ Will provide one hour of a clinician's time.
£50 ➡️ For a clinical assessment to a police officer or their partner.
£100 ➡️ Funds a session of trauma focused therapy.
Every donation and step forward, is a step towards recovery for police officers and their families to beat trauma.
Walk in their shoes, this June and help us beat PTSD
