Story
On 26 April 2026 I'm running the London Marathon for Hospice UK.
I’m incredibly grateful for Hospice UK for this amazing chance they’ve given me. It makes me very proud being able to run in their team and fundraising for this cause.
I wasn’t very familiarised with hospice care until 5 years ago when my grannie spent her last months in a wonderful Hospice in London.
Hospice care eases the pain for those in their last moments but also makes an incredible difference for the family to see your loved one being taken care of and treated with respect and dignity. My grannie was very lucky to be in a Hospice with amazing staff and resources to make her last days as peaceful as possible and I’m incredibly grateful to them for that.
Too many miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, now and forever.
As the national champion for hospices, Hospice UK supports over 200 hospices across the UK, helping them deliver the best, most personalised care to 310,000 people each year. But hospices are underfunded and under immense pressure.
