✨ Support Chinese New Year 2026 in Worcester ✨

Help Us Raise £6,000 to Keep this Half-Term Celebration Free for Everyone

For over 25 years, Worcester has celebrated Chinese New Year with colour, creativity and community spirit. Families from across the West Midlands and beyond look forward to this joyful festival each year — a day filled with performances, culture, community spirit, learning and fun.

On Sunday 22 February 2026, during the February half-term break, we hope to welcome over 1,600 people to the Museum of Royal Worcester and the Royal Porcelain Works for our biggest, most inclusive celebration yet.

And because we believe this festival should be open to everyone, our goal is to keep the entire event free, so families can enjoy a brilliant half-term day out without financial barriers.

To make this possible, we need your support.

🌟 A Perfect Half-Term Day Out

Our Chinese New Year festival has become one of Worcester’s favourite calendar fixtures — a colourful, cross-cultural and accessible day for people of all ages.

Visitors can look forward to:

• 🎶 Live music and cultural performances

• 🦁 A spectacular traditional Lion Dance

. ☕️ Tea tasting and a traditional tea ceremony

• ✂️ Arts and crafts workshops for children and families

• ✍️ Chinese calligraphy and creative activities

• 📚 Storytelling sessions and cultural engagement

• 🎨 Hands-on experiences for all ages

• 👨‍👩‍👧 A warm, inclusive atmosphere

. 🐴 ...possibly even a horse to stroke!

It’s fun, free, educational — and truly for everyone.
