Hello and thank you for visiting my page, you may not have heard of AFPST but you will now understand who they are and what I am doing to support this incredible charity also while enabling my own recovery.

Why am I fundraising?

Those that are closest to me are aware of the physical issues I have endured during my military career which naturally decreased my mental health as well as daily physical limitations.

Then since the tragic death of my brother Kyran, who was also serving Royal Navy the effects of grief have manifested physically, mentally and along with my previous ailments my life has changed forever.

I was introduced to AFPST at one of my lowest points and have been able to channel some of my grief into my recovery within the Snow Sporting Platform.

When I ski I feel free, the wind in my face, the cold clean air to breathe, the views that give me space to think, give me space to heal.

This is all thanks to AFPST and it is now time for me to challenge myself to be able to raise crucial funds to enable others to experience what i have been able to.

What am I doing?

Challenge one of two for me is the Bessan Ski Marathon in France.

What is this endeavour?

The AFPST 5 Challenge Europe Series Fundraiser is an initiative taking place from December 2024 to September 2025, where AFSPT Athletes and Staff will engage in a series of 5 challenging events across Europe.

The challenges include a 182km trek in Costica with an elevation gain of 10,500 meters, the equivalent of summiting Mount Everest three times. In France, participants will tackle a 30km Ski Marathon to demonstrate their endurance and skills on the slopes. The challenging terrain of Spain will see the team embark on a trek from sea to summit, conquering the highest mountain in Spain over 3 days, covering 82km with a 5000m ascent. Sweden will host an extraordinary 24-hour Skiathlon where participants will push themselves to ski non-stop for an entire day. Finally, the team will cycle the NC500 in Scotland within 5 days, showcasing the scenic beauty of the Scottish countryside while continuing their fundraising efforts.
