In 2025 we honour 80 years since VE & VJ Day, and we are celebrating the bravery of the Royal Marines and all who served during WWII. Their motto, "Per Mare, Per Terram" (By Sea, By Land), reflects their courage and dedication to completing their missions by whatever means necessary.

I have the honour of being selected by the Invictus Games Foundation to represent the UK contingent of Wounded Injured Sick (WIS) Military Veterans at the Heroes Half Marathon in Bistrița, Romania and am using this as a platform to continue my fundraising for the RMA - The Royal Marines Charity.

I am also proud to be able to continue my fundraising efforts following on from the 100 Miler Non-Stop I did in 2024 with the fantastic Support Team from 24 Cdo. CLR Chivenor. I set off with a target of raising £10,000 for The Royal Marines Charity and we've already made a good sized dent in that target and added a further £1664.00 for this fundraising event in Romania. 80 Years ago on D-Day, 133 Royal Marine Commandos were killed and approximately 2800 Royal Marines Commandos lost their lives during WW2. In Conflicts, Wars and Operations since WW2, many more Royal Marines have lost their lives and been injured. It is vital that we continue to support those that are Wounded, Injured, Sick and those Families coping with this, and those left behind of the ones who made the Ultimate Sacrifice.
