Story

Hello,

We are taking part in '6 Peaks Challenge' in September to raise money for The Wilderness Programme; the only UK charity of its kind that provides a cost free, residential, non-medical and nature based recovery programme aimed at creating opportunities for the long term recovery from mental health related problems.

Alongside a small team of colleagues we're coming together to hike, climb, and explore nature while raising crucial funds to support mental health initiatives. ‘The Buttermere Horseshoe’ comprises 6 Lakeland Peaks and is a high level circuit around arguably the finest valley in England with its summits (all Wainwrights) in close configuration.

Why Mental Health Matters:

Mental health affects us all, whether directly or through someone we love. With rising awareness, it's time we break the stigma and ensure everyone has access to the support they need. Your participation in this trek will help fund vital mental health programs, counseling services, and community outreach efforts.
