Story
I’ve signed up to tackle one of the toughest obstacle courses in the world- a muddy, freezing and electrifying 5K challenge packed with climbs, crawls- and questionable decisions! For someone who could barely run 1km this time last year, 5k mixed with mid is very much a challenge but one I’m looking forward to! There will be mud. There will be water. There may be dramatic groaning. But every slippery step is for something that truly matters.
I’m raising money for The Children’s Bereavement Centre, a local charity that supports children and young people who are facing one of the hardest experiences imaginable- the death or terminal illness of a loved one.
Based in Newark and supporting families across Nottinghamshire and into Lincolnshire, the Centre provides specialist bereavement support for children, young people and their families, last year supporting over 1550 individuals.
£10 could help fund a comfort bear which is given to all the children accessing support
£25 could pay for one play therapy session for a child
£200 could pay for a full course of bereavement therapy
Thank you for your donation!
