This May, I'm joining the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2025 to raise vital funds for Children’s Holiday Venture (CHV) — a student-run charity that’s been supporting children across Edinburgh for over 60 years.

CHV works with 140 children from areas like Niddrie, Pilton and Sighthill, who have been referred by social workers, schools, therapists, and GPs.

CHV gives them a place to just be kids again.

🌟 What CHV Does

Every two weeks, CHV volunteers run group nights packed with fun and supportive activities. We also organise day trips to places like the zoo, water parks, and beaches. This year, we’re bringing back our much-loved residential camps — magical weekends that provide connection, confidence, and joy.

I'm aiming to raise £500 as part of CHV’s goal to raise money and continue in to the next year and continue our proud 62-year history.
