Back in 2022 I set the Guinness World Record for the most countries visited in 7 days at 17 countries, having finished early because of a knee injury, but last year I discovered that my record had been beaten meaning I could go back and tackle my unfinished business!

I am flying out to Greece to start on Sunday 8th June and I’m aiming to cycling through a total of 21 countries to finish in the Netherlands on the 15th. I am largely following a similar route to my first attempt with a few improvements to make it faster and smoother. In all I plan to cover 2850km in the 7 days. You can follow my progress on my tracker and get live updates through my instagram @ultracraign which I will be updating whenever battery, signal and weather allow. Right now the forecast is for both extreme heat and extreme rain in Europe, so I’m expecting to encounter everything the weather has to throw at me!

I am riding in aid of The Outward Bound Trust which is a charity which specialises in taking children out to experience adventures where they otherwise couldn’t. They provide fully funded places with equipment to make it as accessible to everyone. I often hear that ‘I could never do what you do’ but the hardest part is setting foot out of your front door, and for many people they never get the opportunity to take that first step because of their situation. I’m hoping that be raising some funds for the OBT that we can get a few more people out and testing themselves to know where their limits are, or aren’t, and to better handle the stresses of life.
