My dad and granddad lost their lives to cancer and it’s something I haven’t come to terms with and don’t think I ever will. I miss them dearly every day and I intend to make them proud in everything I do. My dad and I shared a lot of interests and they were all revolving around football and fitness, which is what made us so close. The pain and sorrow myself, my family and millions of people have experienced is something that will never go away, so I have decided to join the cause and contribute to one of the greatest causes in the world by taking part in the Great North Run 2026 for Worldwide Cancer Research, with the ultimate goal of raising awareness and funding to give people a fighting chance.
