Culcheth Cup 2025 · 5 October 2025

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

The Amblers are thrilled to participate in the Culcheth Cup 2025, a personal challenge that brings us together for a vital cause: the Stroke Association.

Captained by Terry Lee our squad comprises of: Brian Bowyer (gk), Andrew Kenyon, Geoff Spence, Eddie Melly, Steve Davidson, Steve Simmonite and Ken Salmon.

Why support the Stroke Association? Because when stroke strikes, it can feel like a part of your brain—and your life—shuts down. Recovery is not just a journey; it's a testament to resilience and hope. With the right support, research, and advocacy, we can help individuals adapt and rebuild their lives after such a life-altering event.

Our goal is to raise £500 to contribute to this incredible mission. Every donation counts and makes a difference! By supporting us on this page or selecting us from the list, you are joining us in this fight against stroke. And remember, if you’re eligible for Gift Aid, the government will add an extra 25% to your donation at no cost to you!
