James – AKA The Former Newbie

Two rides in and James is starting to get the hang of it – and for the first time ever, he’s actually (whisper it) organised. With life, work, and kids all running at full tilt, he’s somehow managed to squeeze in enough prep to not just survive but enjoy it. He’s looking forward to the miles, the chat, and seeing if this is the year he finally gets up a hill without someone shouting encouragement/pity from behind.

Balloons is a small charity that works alongside families and professionals to support bereaved children and young people in our area when someone significant in their lives dies.

Every time we pick up the telephone, we take a new referral, we meet a bereaved child for the first time, and we visit a grieving family – we know it matters and we know it makes a difference.
