They say golf is a long walk spoiled... so we decided to spoil it four times over!
A few of us 'old farts' from Billericay have had a senior moment and decided to attempt 4 rounds of golf in a single day. Considering some of us usually run out of breath (or golf balls) by the 9th hole on a Saturday, this is going to be interesting!
We’re doing this for George, a fine young man we’ve watched grow up, and to support Cure4George and Duchenne UK. Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a devastating disease, and we’re swinging our clubs to help accelerate the search for a cure.
DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development.
Together, we will end Duchenne.
