Story
Firstly, thanks for donating!
Anyone who knows me, knows I hate running (unless there’s a football at my feet). Unsurprisingly, I’ve never ran the Great North Run before however I’ve decided this year I’m doing it and I’m running in aid of St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
In December 2022, my Dad - Dave Winter, who was a great runner back in his prime - sadly passed away in this hospice after a year-long battle with cancer. St Cuthbert’s provided our family with love, respite and much-needed care in my Dad’s final days and is a place I’ll always hold closely to my heart.
I have also read about the shocking cuts that have been made to the hospice’s budgets and I cannot believe this has been allowed to happen which makes me even more determined to raise as much money as possible.
Any donation you can afford would be really appreciated and hopefully go a long way to helping a family in need.
