Story
Tina and I have been friends since we were both teenagers living in Hitchin. Many years ago at the Hermitage Club in Hitchin I introduced Tina to another close friend of mine Steve King. What followed was 40 plus years of an extremely happy marriage, and a family that they could both be so proud of. My wife Amanda and I have remained very close friends to this incredible family and shared many special occasions with them.
Watching Tina suffer from Corticobasal Degeneration and the impact it had on the family was tough, and the fact it took so long to diagnose what was wrong with Tina was shocking and unfair, and then to find out there was no cure was devastating to us all.
That is why I have decided to run my 43rd race and 8th Marathon in support of this charity, in the memory of my friend Tina King, missing you xx
PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to creating a better future for everyone affected by Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration.
We will do this by: Providing information and support to enable families living with PSP & CBD to live their best possible lives; Improving the quality of life for people living with the condition via research and awareness raising; Putting the voice of the PSP & CBD community at the heart of what we do.
