Dalya became aware of the Shannon trust through recent personal experience of the challenges those in the justice system face, particularly those encountering barriers to learning. (50% of prisoners struggle greatly with reading or cannot read at all)

Dalya is raising money by doing an ' August Art-a-thon', the great challenge of doing a painting a day to give away! Art gives hope, and like reading, is a window onto the outside world.
