Daniel Kaszeta is raising money for The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields

Pilgrimage 2026 · 22 May 2026 to 25 May 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

The 36th 74-mile Annual Pilgrimage organised by The Connection at St. Martins, walking from St. Martins in London to Canterbury Cathedral is back. Taking place over the late May Bank Holiday Weekend - Friday 22nd May - Monday 25th May 2026.

Story

Every year, people from my church walk 74 miles from London to Canterbury for the Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields, to make a difference for the lives of people sleeping rough on the streets of London.

This year the Pilgrimage is from from 22nd to 25th May 2026. I'm only walking the last day (about 18 miles), from Charing to Canterbury Cathedral, but I'm proud to take part in even one part of this effort.

The Connection is a London homeless charity based just off Trafalgar Square. For every £100 raised this could fund:

- 2 people to stay in accommodation for a night

- An ‘Art is Therapy Session’ for up to 20 people experiencing homelessness

- 50 hot meals for the people in needed.

Also, for those of you who follow me throughout the year on social media, The Connection hosts our International Group on Sundays, where I do laundry for dozens of refugees and asylum seekers. So, this is a way for our group to pay back The Connection for letting us use their facilities.

The photo is of a group of us a few years back, including my late friend Edwin. I'm the berk in the purple TCU shirt.
