Story
Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives.
Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
I have worked with people who are blind, who had assistance from Guide Dogs, and if it wasn't for those amazing dogs, they wouldn't have the freedom and confidence to be able to leave their homes.
Personally I cannot imagine being blind, I feel so blessed and grateful to be able to have my sight. I thank God every day for my health.
I have a great love for people who are blind, I love dogs and I love cycling.
My goal is to cycle as far as I can within 24 hours. This timeframe is nothing compared to the lifelong struggle people have who are blind.
Please help them!
