Story
I am excited to be running the London Marathon for Disability Challengers. My youngest Luke is 12 and has been going to 'Challengers' in Guildford for the past 8 years.
Challengers is a special place. They are passionate about providing play and leisure opportunies to disabled children and young people, to enable them to have fun, make friends and try new things. Sadly too many disabled children miss out on play, with many barriers stopping them from accessing play opportunities. Challengers remove these barriers, and through their play and youth schemes, make it possible for everyone to be included. They also provide parents with respite from the demands of caring, which for many is a lifeline.
I am proud to be a Trustee and Parent Ambassador for Challengers and to help sing the praises of this brilliant charity. Luke loves going to Challengers, and as a family, we are grateful for their help and support.
As many of you know, I am strangely addicted to marathon running, but this one is for Luke and the fabulous children at Challengers. Click below for a glimpse of the amazing work they do.
