Story
In August 2026, I will be taking part in The TCS Sydney Marathon to raise money for MS-UK! My first marathon, so that should go well…
MS UK is a cause that’s close to home. My mum has been living with MS for many years now, so I’ve seen first-hand the day-to-day challenges it brings. The kind of things you don’t really think about until they’re not so straightforward. That’s a big part of why I wanted to do this and a good reason to try and raise some money too.
MS-UK is a national charity dedicated to empowering people affected by multiple sclerosis to live happier and healthier lives. They work to improve the understanding of MS and provide support where it is needed most.
MS UK do some brilliant work supporting people living with MS, offering practical help and information, funding research, and working to improve day-to-day life for people dealing with it.
I’m under no illusions, 26.2 miles is a long way and I’ll almost definitely regret this at some point… but it should be a great experience, especially once I’ve finished.
My target is to raise £2000. If anyone’s able to donate, it’d be greatly appreciated. It’ll definitely help when I’m wondering why I voluntarily decided to do this.
Thank you very much!
