Story
Palace for Life Foundation
The Palace for Life Foundation has been working with young people for over 25 years. We use the power of sport and Crystal Palace to change the lives of young people within our community, particularly the most hard-to-reach and hard-to-help.
Growing up in south London has never been tougher but we are in a unique position to drive positive change. We work in schools and the community, inspiring young people to find a better path and to lead a healthier life. Your donations will directly support our work and make a real impact, for real people.
Dan's story
Being a Berkshire lad I have no personal links with the community embraced by Crystal Palace Football Club. However back in 1976 I was introduced to the Palace family. And it is precisely that...a family and a community.
My family and I have have embraced and been embraced by the wonderful experience of being a Palace fan. From the massive high of winning the FA Cup this year to the depths of nearly going out of business twice. From winning against the cream of English football to damp defeats away at Shrewsbury.
However, this football club has never lost it's sense of being. Never shied away from looking after its own. Always had a strong sense of looking out for those facing significant difficulties in life. It is as far as I am concerned a unique relationship.
So the least that I can do is help a little bit by raising some funds for this excellent cause that is close to my heart. It will take some grit and determination... some fun and humour.... some hard slogging....
Hopefully it will not be like following Palace for nearly 50 years.... 99% disappointment and 1% disbelief!
Thanking you in advance for your support.
Kindest
Dan
