I’m taking part in this run to raise funds for STAMMA, a charity that works to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of people who stammer.

This cause means a lot to me because I have a stammer. When I was younger, I struggled with speaking fluently and know how challenging and isolating that can sometimes feel. Over the years, with help and support, I’ve gained the confidence to speak more freely, something I’m incredibly grateful for. I honestly don’t know where I’d be without that support, and that’s why I’m so passionate about helping others get the help they need too.

STAMMA does amazing work supporting adults, children, and families affected by stammering.

65% of people who stammer still face mishandled calls, being hung up on, laughed at, or talked over. These are people just trying to make a GP appointment, speak to their bank, or track a parcel. That shouldn’t be anyone’s experience.
