Story

Over 2000 children die from drowning each year, in Cambodia.a child dies from drowning every 4 hours.

There are 3 outcomes to drowning: 1. Death, 2. Survival with no injury or 3. Survival with injury, including brain damage.

In Cambodia, drowning is the leading cause of death for children aged 1-17 years old. Children under 5 years are most at risk.

Risk factors include poor knowledge of the dangers, lack of child supervision, children and young people cannot swim and lack of rescue and CPR skills.

SWIM Cambodia trains and supports local partners to deliver Water Safety, Safe Rescue and CPR education for the classroom and community.

Every child in Cambodia deserves to grow up safe from drowning.

At SWIM Cambodia, we act with compassion, collaboration, and local leadership.

We need your help to fund a new Cambodian survival swimming teaching manual used to train volunteers and teachers.

Please donate what you can today to help save young lives.
