Story
Daphne’s vision around Special Learning Differences led to the creation of Fairley House in September 1982, the first full-time special needs school in this country for children with learning difficulties. She passionately believed that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and through her pioneering work generations of young people have grown in confidence, and fulfilled their potential in a wide variety of ways.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she changed and the thriving community she built. She will be remembered with immense gratitude, admiration and respect.
For those who feel moved to recognise the transformative impact of a Fairley House education you can donate to Daphne's legacy fund. Your vital support will enable the renovation of our new Senior School building and transform the learning outcomes for future generations of neurodiverse students.
