The Trust was founded in March 2017 as the opportunities and dangers of the digital revolution were becoming increasingly apparent. The vision of the founding trustees was to help families, children and vulnerable people access the digital world safely and securely and at the same time enjoy the benefits of technology.

The Online Family Safety project aims to demonstrate to families how digital monitoring tools can be used to monitor their children's online activity in real time. The outputs will include Family Case Studies - real families working with the trust to set up monitoring and report on the impact on their family activities online. It will also provide video diaries of the set up of different solutions and the issues that are encountered along the way.
