Story
I’ve decided to take on the Glasgow Kiltwalk this year — which didn’t sound too dramatic until I remembered that I hadn’t walked anything like this sort of distance in over 30 years!
I’m doing it as part of the 1st North Berwick Kilt Crew, raising money for our local Scout group and the renovation of our Scout hall.
Scouting has been part of my life for a very long time. I first joined Cubs when I was 6 years old and, more than 40 years later (and now safely into my 50s), I’m still involved. Scouting gave me amazing experiences growing up, and I’d love to help make sure today’s young people get those same opportunities.
So I thought I’d help by doing the Kiltwalk.
It means there’s going to be quite a lot of training involved between now and the event! On the plus side, my dog is absolutely delighted with the sudden increase in “training walks”, even if she doesn’t quite understand why they keep getting longer.
If you’re able to support me with a donation, it would mean a lot. And if you see someone out doing suspiciously long training walks with a slightly confused dog… that’s probably me.
Thanks for your support!
