Story
Hiking for our Hall!
We're a team of 1st North Berwick Scout Leaders who've been volunteering together in our local Scout Group in North Berwick for over a decade, and we're challenging ourselves to do the 23-mile Glasgow Kiltwalk in April 2026 to raise funds for the renovation of our beloved old Scout Hall.
We’re very lucky to have our own meeting place, which is cherished by the wider community as much as by our Scouts, but the building is over 100 years old and is in real need of renovation. We’re planning to improve accessibility inside and out, upgrade the grounds, enhance energy efficiency and generally give our HQ the spruce-up it deserves so it can continue serving Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and our local community for many more years to come.
This is a big project. The full programme of improvements will cost hundreds of thousands of pounds, and while we’re applying for grants and other funding, community fundraising like this is vital to help make it happen.
By sponsoring us for this 23-mile challenge, you’ll be helping us create a more welcoming, sustainable and accessible space for current Scouts and future generations.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. So while we battle the blisters and stride on through the inevitable April showers, we would very much appreciate your support!
