Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Unfortunately, the new year didn’t start very well for us at Deen City farm. Just after Christmas we had a major electrical problem that forced us to close for a few days.

The good news is we managed to make temporary repairs, and are now open to visitors, but we still have some significant repairs to make, and sadly looking at a potential bill of 10s of thousand pounds.

Winter is an expensive time for us especially as our big animals, the cows, sheep and goats have to spend more time inside and we have to give them a lot more expensive feed, so this is not the best time for us to to have another large bill to pay.

To help make a wee contribution to these costs I am fundraising through the challenge of running the Kent Spring Marathon. I haven’t run such a long way in over 7 years, but hoping your contributions can help motivate me through those tricky miles.

Look forward to seeing you at the farm soon.

All the best,

David
